The Slave Ring

Continuing the battle from the last session: Kyle killed the bandit fighting him. Juan and the ape, now named Monke, killed the thug, and Shave and Reginald killed the two guards. Then, the party went over to the slave pen which had a tall barbed wire mesh. Juan broke open the gate. Kyle killed one of four guards with his echo. The party killed two more and knocked the last one unconscious. Juan had taken a crossbow bolt from one of the thugs guarding the tent. Monke attacked it because of that. Numerous healing spells were used on the part of Reginald and even one from Shavae. The party killed the two thugs and the berserker who were guarding the tent. At one point, Juan ran up Monke's back and slammed his battleaxes into a thug. The berserker was beheaded.

The battle paused at that point. Juan tried to convince the bandit captain that was in the tent to give up. Instead, Juan and the captain got into a heated argument about whose fault it was that all the bandits were dead and who the ape belonged to. The argument led to Juan stepping forward and whacking the captain in the face with his lead pipe. An acolyte and an apprentice wizard were standing next to them. The apprentice wizard cast a fireball at Juan which grazed him. Then, Shavae cast a sleep spell which put both the acolyte and the apprentice wizard to sleep. The party then whiddled down the captain's health until finally, while the captain was focused on Kyle, Juan came up behind him and clove his head in two, vertically. Then, Juan had Monke crush the sleeping spellcasters' heads.

The party then freed the slaves and took a long rest.
