 Session 9: Dragonborn MVP

Note: Juan and Bean couldn't make it. Bean has left long term to go on a solo quest of some sort. Juan had a temporary thing to take care of.

The Slave Ring

    The party was in the city where they ran into a Dragonborn Paladin named Ronin and his talking goat, Larry. Reginald gave Ronin and Larry mangos. Sylvain and Ronin had an arm wrestling competition and became friends when they destroyed the table without a clear winner. Larry voiced his dislike of the party members. They went to the jail where Ronin terrified the ever living crap out of the captive bandit captain from the first bandit camp into giving the location of the bandit fortress. Approaching from the trees, the party took ranged shots at the thug and guards who were guarding the gate. While fighting them, Larry the Goat released a demonic bleat that dealt 1d6 of psychic damage to his enemies. Also, Shavae used viscous mockery against the thug, saying "Fee Fie Foe Fum, I smell the feet of a big dumb dumb." After killing those guys, Kyle put his echo behind the gate and swapped places with it. He opened the gate.

    The party engaged four bandits and a berserker. Ronin was knocked really low on hitpoints a couple times, but Shavae and Reginald kept him active with healing spells. During that fight, Ronin unleashed his breath weapon, a 30 ft. long blast of lightning that struck two bandits and the berserker as well as a thug and a guard who were further off. He also used his signature whirlwind ability, in which he took his glaive and spun in a circle, dealing a ton of damage to the people around him. In doing that, he beheaded two of the bandits. The berserker ended up being beheaded by Sylvain.

    The party engaged two thugs (one of whom had been hit by lightning) (the guard had been killed by a crossbow bolt from Kyle) and two bandits joined in. Ronin was knocked to 0 hitpoints by a thug, but Monke pulled him away. After being revived, Ronin used his whirlwind against the bandits, after which they surrendered. Monke killed a thug, and the other was surrounded by several party members including Reginald, Kyle, Monke, and Larry. Shavae killed one of the surrendered bandits.

Note: The party was going to finish off the bandit and thug and then leave so they could get the experience and possibly take a rest of some sort.
