 Session 22: Plowing Forward

The Cult

    The party opened another door, finding a Troll and a Barlgura, both in separate cages. Blake noticed that the cages were just an illusion. He also noticed a Cult Fanatic in the far corner of the room. He shot two arrows at it. Upon seeing Blake fire arrows, Eldon reflexively blasted the Troll with Eldritch Blast. The illusory cage dissipated. Eldon used Dissonant Whispers to cause the Troll to take stock of its disgusting state, causing it to run away. The whole party joined the fight at this point. The Fanatic dropped the cage from the Barlgura which attacked the Fanatic. While it was beating the Fanatic into a paste, the party wailed on the Troll. While riding on Ronin's back while he was flying, Eldon accidentally blasted him in the back with a Firebolt. The knocked the Troll unconscious, but it healed on its next turn. Then, Eldon managed to hit it with a Firebolt, killing it. The party then crushed the Barlgura, finishing it when Ronin cut its head off.

    Behind the next door was a Clay Golem. It managed to get a couple of nasty slams in on Blake, but the Suicide Squad pretty much tore it up. It was finished by Eldon who used Cloud of Daggers to carve it up into a bunch of tiny pieces.

    The last door on the third floor was opened. It was a sandy, mesa type area containing a Young Blue Dragon. After briefly conversing with the dragon, (during which it let them know it was going to eat them), they left the room and shut the door.
